Emini Futures Trading / Believing the Truth

(QQQQ)(DIA)(SPY)

Jesus summed it all up when he cried out, "Whoever believes in me, believes not just in me but in the One who sent me. Whoever looks at me is looking, in fact, at the One who sent me. I am Light that has come into the world so that all who believe in me won't have to stay any longer in the dark. (John 12:44 The Message)

Some people think that belief and faith are synonymous, but they are not. Imagine that you are at a circus. A skilled high-wire artist has accomplished so many marvelous feats that the audience has come to believe that he can do almost anything.

The ringmaster addresses the crowd: "Ladies and gentlemen, how many of you believe that this daring man can ride safely over the high wire on his bicycle while carrying someone on his shoulders? If you believe he can do it, please raise your hand!" Many in the audience raise their hands.

"Very well, then," says the ringmaster, surveying all the raised hands, "now who would like to be the first to volunteer to sit on his shoulders?"

The difference between belief and faith is the difference between staying in your seat and volunteering to climb on the shoulders of the high-wire artist. We may believe that God has "the whole world in his hands," but faith is the act of trust by which we put ourselves in God's hands.

We were looking to short early strength on Thursday, and the 1103.50 resistance on the ES was sold about 4 minutes into trading. A 4.25 point drop to 1099.25 occurred before bouncing to a 1105.25 early high. A 1-2-3 top formed from 1104 and the ES fell fast to the 1091.25-1090.75 support zone. That was the key support, and the market quickly reversed and then a ragged and choppy rally started. A move to 1097.50 was rejected, and then a pullback held the updated 1094 area (1094.25 pullback low) and chopped its way to 1099.75. A pullback held that 1097 updated level and moved on up to 1103.25 (1103.50 resistance) with 15 minutes left in stock trading. A 4+ point pullback held 1099.00 and then a bounce to 1103.75 occurred just before the close. Take a FREE TRIAL!
